Prof. Khoirul Anwar is an inventor who also holds a patent for 4G technology based on OFD (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing). This man from Kediri who was born in 1978 created a system that can reduce energy up to 5dB or one hundred thousand times less than what is needed. This young professor managed to find a faster method of communication, but less energy. The speed of data transmission has also increased sharply. Communication problems in big cities that have skyscrapers and mountainous areas can also be overcome. It is in these areas that the transmitted wave experiences reflections and longer pauses.
In his second patent, the man who earned a master's degree from the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) completely removed the Guard Interval/GI. As a result, different frequencies collide. Then, Pak Khoirul combined it with a special algorithm in the laboratory. The effect? The interaction between these waves can be overcome with the same performance as a normal system in the presence of a GI.
The findings of the 2000 ITB Electrical Engineering cum laude graduate have been used by a large Japanese electronics company. Also, being explored by the telecommunications giant from China, namely Huawei Technology. Pak Khoirul also received the IEEE Best Student Paper Award of the IEEE Radio and Wireless Symposium (RWS) 2006 in California.
